Posy Press
+ Office of cultural affairs
For the first event in the Leaflet series, Posy Press partnered with the Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs to spotlight three Atlanta-based artists — Samantha Richardson, Arantza Peña Popo, and Roxy Urquiza Flores, aka Cranity — using risograph printing to build community, share knowledge, and create space for creative exchange.
The evening brought together artists, designers, illustrators, printmakers, and curious members of the Atlanta creative community for an artist talk, moderated panel, and live Riso printing demonstration.
Rather than simply introducing the audience to the process of risograph printing, the event explored RISO as a tool for connection — a way to make art, share ideas, collaborate, and bring people together.
Printing community
The Office of Cultural Affairs grant support allowed us to offer a free public program that celebrated independent publishing, Risograph printing, and creative community building. The funding made it possible to bring together artists, community members, and cultural partners who may not otherwise have connected. It also enabled us to highlight diverse voices in risograph and expand access to artistic and educational opportunities for the public.
