What is RISO?
Risograph printing
Risograph is a printing process that resembles screen printing, using stencils and soy-based inks to create vibrant, multi-color prints.
Each color requires a separate stencil and ink drum, so multi-color prints are made by running the paper through the machine multiple times.
Artists and designers often use this process for its unique, handmade aesthetic, which can include slight imperfections such as misregistration and overlapping, making each piece unique.

Planning a Risograph project? Book a 60-minute consultation with Posy, online or in person at the studio. Bring an early idea or existing artwork; together, we’ll discuss your goals and explore ink colors, paper, file preparation, and production options.
In-person consultations include basic proofing: up to 10 test impressions of one ink layer on one side of one artwork sheet. Virtual consultations include planning and file-preparation guidance, but no physical proofs. Extended proofing is available as an add-on.
The consultation fee is credited toward your print order.
